SEM/AEM Modules

SMM - Secure Member Module 1.5

SMM (Secure Member Module) integrates seamlessly with SEM (Site Enterprise Manager) and AEM (Association Enterprise Manager) software packages to allow membership groups to offer private information to their members securely.

With SMM, SEM and AEM will automatically generate usernames and passwords for all registered users to control access to secure web content. Registered uses will then have access to secure content including articles, files, images, and more directly through SEM or AEM with their username and password.

Since SMM integrates seamlessly with SEM and AEM, there is no additional customization required. Users will only have to choose a password when they register, or choose the forgot password link and enter their email address to gain access to the secure area. Furthermore, website administrators will enter secure content using the exact same tools as they use for managing public web content.

SMM - Module Functionality

Information Access:

• Member Login: Members will login through a member login form with their email address and password to gain access to the Secure Member Area.
• Forgot Password: If members do not know their password or forget it, they can click on the forgot password link, enter their email address, and a link will be emailed to them to allow them to reset their password.
• Secure Member Area: Upon successful login using the Member Login form, users will be given access to the Secure Member Area. This will be a private area of the web site that will contain secure information only accessible to members with the proper membership level.

Membership Management:

• Edit Member: Authorized administrators will have access to change membership levels and reset passwords directly through the AEM or SEM user management tools. Membership levels will be used to dictate exactly what secure content users can access once they log into the Secure Member Area.

Content Management:

• Edit Documents: Authorized administrators will have the ability to choose what level members have access to each document related to the Secure Member Area, using the same AEM or SEM document management tools
• Edit Files: Authorized administrators will have the ability to choose what level members have access to each file related to the Secure Member Area, using the same AEM or SEM document management tools
• Edit Images: Authorized administrators will have the ability to choose what level members have access to each image related to the Secure Member Area, using the same AEM or SEM document management tools
• Edit Events: Authorized administrators will have the ability to choose what level members have access to each event listing related to the Secure Member Area, using the same AEM or SEM document management tools
• Edit Jobs: Authorized administrators will have the ability to choose what level members have access to each job posting related to the Secure Member Area, using the same AEM or SEM document management tools
